Sarah Peace

Sarah Peace has a diverse work experience spanning over the years. Sarah started their career at The University of Reading as a Research Fellow, where they conducted research funded by the Engineering and Physical Sciences Research Council and completed their PhD. Sarah also co-authored two best practice reports on Partnering in the UK construction industry.

Sarah then moved to The Chartered Institute of Building (CIOB), where they held various roles, including Technical Manager, Research Manager, Assistant Editor, and Scholarship and Research Manager. In these positions, they provided advice on technical matters, managed CIOB funded projects, coordinated and sourced news items and papers, and developed research and innovation strategies for the institute.

After their time at CIOB, Sarah became self-employed as a Consultant, working on various projects until 2017. Sarah then joined Adviza Partnership as a Skills Adviser for a year before transitioning to their most recent role as a CITB Engagement Advisor and later CITB Commissioner Support.

Sarah Peace earned a PhD in Construction Management from The University of Reading from 1994 to 1999. Prior to that, they obtained an MSc in Construction Management from the same university from 1993 to 1994. Sarah also completed a BA (Hons) in Management and Design of Building from the University of Greenwich from 1989 to 1992. The field of study for their BA degree is not specified.
