Yamila Castro

Yamila Castro has extensive work experience in various roles related to communications and media. Yamila has worked as a Communications Lead at Cities Alliance since 2019. Prior to that, they were a Strategic Communications Expert at Seefar Enterprise from 2018 to 2019. From 2014 to 2016, they served as a Media/PR Manager and Communications Manager at the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC. Yamila also worked as a Journalist and Communications consultant at Deutsche Welle and as a Protection Officer at the International Committee of the Red Cross - ICRC. Additionally, they have experience working as a Project Manager at Corning, Head of Communications and PR at Editions & Galerie Daniel Maghen, and as a Journalist for various organizations such as Foreign correspondent in France, RFI - Radio France Internationale, and Ministère des Affaires étrangères.

Yamila Castro holds a Master in European Business from ESCP Business School and a Master in Social Sciences - Latin American studies IHEAL from Université Paris-Sorbonne. Yamila also has a Bachelor of Arts in Communication & Journalism from Universidad de La Sabana. In addition, they have obtained certifications in Persuasive Communication: Narrative, Evidence, and Impact from Harvard Kennedy School and Smart Cities - Management of Smart Urban Infrastructures from EPFL (École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne).
