Elena Ayot

Elena Ayot is a seasoned professional in the finance and compliance sectors, currently serving as Senior Vice President and Senior Compliance Officer at Citi since April 2023. In addition to this role, Elena is an Impact Investor and Member at Pipeline Angels and a Limited Partner at Phoenix Fund, an early-stage venture fund. Since 2014, Elena has been an Advisory Council Member at START Treatment & Recovery Centers. Previous experience includes working in Global Markets and Investment Banking Compliance Testing at Goldman Sachs from 2019 to 2023, serving as Of Counsel at The Bhatta Law Firm, and acting as General Counsel at the Natural Resource Governance Institute in 2017. Elena also contributed to charitable governance as a Board Member for The Amy Winehouse Foundation and the Massachusetts Women's Political Caucus. Co-founder and Principal of SanEle Group from 2010 to 2013, Elena holds a Bachelor of Arts in Biology and Spanish from the University of Pennsylvania and a Juris Doctor from New England Law | Boston.
