Alex Belsham-Harris has a diverse work experience in the policy and energy sectors. They started their career at Green Alliance in 2012 as a Policy Intern before joining Network Rail as a Crossrail Environment Intern. In 2013, they moved to Ofgem, where they worked as a Non-domestic RHI scheme Audit administrator and later as a Policy Analyst. At Ofgem, they focused on community-led renewable energy projects and improving data for environmental impact tracking. Since 2015, Alex has been working at Citizens Advice, initially as a Policy Researcher, then as a Senior Policy Researcher, and currently as a Principal Policy Manager, Energy Retail Markets Policy. During their time at Citizens Advice, they have worked on various policy and advocacy projects related to energy markets, decarbonisation, customer service, and protections for vulnerable consumers. They have also built networks with industry and government stakeholders and managed junior staff.
Alex Belsham-Harris completed their Bachelor of Science degree in Chemistry at the University of Bristol from 2006 to 2010. They then pursued a Master of Arts degree in Environment, Politics and Globalisation at King's College London from 2011 to 2013.
