Brent P. Hazzard

Brent P. Hazzard serves as the President of Asset Finance and Head of Asset Based Lending at Citizens, leading a team of over 150 bankers with management of $11 billion in financing commitments. Previously, Hazzard was responsible for the Asset Based Lending and Transitional Finance teams at Citizens, overseeing a portfolio of $7 billion. An experienced educator, Hazzard has taught courses in sales leadership, corporate finance, and strategic marketing as an Adjunct Professor at the University of Connecticut from 2006 to 2023. Prior to Citizens, Hazzard held the position of Managing Director at GE Capital, focusing on restructuring opportunities, and was a Director at BankBoston. Hazzard's educational background includes a Bachelor of Science in Business from the University of Connecticut, an MBA from the University of Hartford, and executive education from Harvard Business School, along with postgraduate work at Stonier Graduate School of Banking.
