About Citizens Clubhouse: Citizens Clubhouse is a childcare center for Citizens Health associates located on the hospital campus. We provide childcare for children ages 6 weeks to Kindergarten, Monday through Friday, from 5:30am to 6:30pm. We have 4 classrooms: Infant, Toddler, Junior Preschool, and Preschool with a top capacity of 38 children in our building.

Location: 100 E College Ave, Colby, Ks

Position Information: Provide safe care and education though all the best practices focusing on physical, emotional, social, and cognitive development

Days: open Monday-Friday, 4 to 5 days a week

Hours: 8-10 hour days between the hours of 5:30am-6:30pm - on a PRN basis

What you’ll do:

  • Supervise and monitor safety of children at all times

  • Follow and enforce KDHE regulations and guidelines at all times

  • Provide mentoring and coaching to all teachers

  • Provide constructive criticism in a positive manner

  • Provide positive solutions and strategies to settle disputes

  • Facilitate open communication throughout the facility

  • Help organize classroom parties, meet and greets, and celebrations

  • Organize tours of facility and interviewing of teachers

  • Any additional duties as required to fulfill the needs of the childcare center

  • Keep records of children’s required paperwork and immunization records

  • Organize Parent bills via HiMama and Keep detailed records of income and expenses

  • Keep records of teacher’s required paperwork and yearly trainings

  • Complete all Director requirements as needed

  • Complete all managerial requirements through the hospital as needed

What you bring to the table:

  • High School diploma or equivalent required.

  • Associates degree in Early Childhood Development or Early Childhood Education preferred.

  • 3 months experience in a licensed child care center or program serving infants to school age, or observational hours, or academic hours in child development.

Typical Working Conditions:

Will work in a modular classroom with children ages 6 weeks to 12 months and walking.  Will work with other teachers and aides. Will be constantly walking or standing, kneeling and getting on the child’s level, sitting on the floor and interacting with children.
