Purpose

The purpose of this role is to provide Dayforce WFM consulting support for all aspects of the assigned Dayforce Projects.

About the opportunity 
The Dayforce WFM Consultant participates in all stages of the delivery lifecycle (discovery, configuration, testing, deployment, post-go-live support), and may participate in one or more activities. Deliverable responsibilities include gathering customer requirements, configuring the Ceridian solution to meet documented customer requirements, setting, and managing customer expectations, providing guidance to and oversite to more junior consultants, identifying risks and working with team to resolve.

  
What you'll deliver

  • Apply the available tools and resources to implement Dayforce features and functionality. Use various Activate wizards and custom configuration to update data and configure Dayforce including:
    • Identify the steps to configure Dayforce Schedules, including:

      • Configuring meal and break rules for a schedule in the punch policy
      • Creating schedule rules to fit company policy and labor laws
      • Creating shift definitions and shift rotations o Creating schedule templates
      • Using Activate to create and update Time Off Policies
    • Identify the steps to configure Dayforce Time & Attendance, including:

      • Recognizing the use of pay category groups
      • Creating a pay category and understanding how it affects an employee’s pay
      • Creating pay codes and understanding their attributes and how they can be used to track the timesheet
      • Understanding the use of tardy codes and resolution codes when tracking tardy punches on the timesheet
    • Create punch policies using Activate or Dayforce to control the time capture and exception handling, including:

      • Explaining how meal/break rules and meal/break penalties are setup o Configuring tardy rules used to track early and late on the timesheet
      • Creating holiday groups
      • Creating pay policies in Dayforce or in Activate used to calculate gross pay
    • Consult and provide best practices and recommendations on new product functionality ensuring the client is maximizing their investment.

    • Document and validate customer’s business requirements and map to product functionality.

    • Configure application to meet customer’s documented business requirements.

    • Conduct consulting sessions (on the phone and in-person) and document with meeting minutes.

    • Attend internal project meetings and provide status on progress of activities and deliverables.

    • Provide customers with follow-up consulting and general assistance in areas of expertise.

    • Be a “go-to” resource for specific functional areas for both internal and external users.

    • Contribute to internal product initiatives.

    • Document solutions and contribute to a solutions repository.

    • Contribute to internal knowledge share; review posted feedback on a continuous basis and respond to questions.

    • Participate in Continuing Education sessions.

    • Complete new release training on a timely basis; be fully versed on new and/or enhanced functionality in each product release.

    • Approximately 85% billable utilization.

Skills and experience we value

  • A bachelor’s degree in business, Computer Science, Engineering, or other related field is preferred.
  • 5-8 years experience in Cloud Based Software delivery.
  • 3-5 years of software delivery experience is preferred.
  • Experience with SaaS/Cloud Computing environment, including experience with an HRIS/ERP system is preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience with change management is a plus.
  • Demonstrated critical thinking through reviewing numbers, trends, and data yielding conclusions based on findings.
  • High level of integrity working with confidential client and customer data
  • Experience in business process mapping.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office products including Excel, Word, Powerpoint and project scheduling tools.
  • Ability to work multiple projects and clients at the same time and manage priorities.
  • Desire and ability to thrive as a detail-oriented team player who can work with minimal supervision.
  • Understanding of the software development life cycle.
  • Strong collaboration and organizational skills.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills, including the ability to present findings, or translate data conclusions into an und8rstandable documentation.
  • Ability to communicate complex ideas clearly and easily.
  • Desire to successfully operate in a fast-paced deadline driven environment.
  • Ability and willingness to travel to client sites as needed (Up to 10% Travel Required)
