Liesl Schnuck

Director Of Teaching And Learning at City Academy

Liesl Schnuck currently serves as the Director of Teaching & Learning at City Academy, a position held since July 2018, and has also fulfilled roles as a Curriculum & Instruction Specialist and a 3rd & 4th Grade Math Teacher. Prior to this, Liesl worked at Saint Louis Public Schools as a 3rd Grade Teacher from July 2016 to June 2018, covering various subjects and participating on the Leadership Team. Liesl gained experience with Teach For America, teaching 3rd Grade at Tulsa Public Schools from August 2014 to June 2016, where responsibilities included developing differentiated lesson plans and chairing the STEAM committee. Earlier experience includes a brief tenure as a 5th/6th Grade Science Teacher at Villa Duchesne and Oak Hill School and a position as a Teaching Assistant at City Academy. Liesl holds a Master’s Degree in Elementary Education and Teaching from Johns Hopkins University School of Education and a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from the University of Richmond.
