Karen Anderson has a diverse work experience spanning from 2008 to 2018. Karen began their career at the International School of Qingdao as a Classroom Teacher, teaching second graders and three-year-olds. Karen also took on the role of Professional Development Coordinator, where they planned monthly staff training and liaised with outside trainers. Karen then transitioned to become a Divisional Principal, overseeing the school's operations and staff. In 2018, they joined LifePlus as the Director of Teaching and Learning, where they coordinated professional development and curriculum at a district-level. Karen'sprojects included launching district-wide Community of Practice groups and implementing a district-wide Learning Management System.

Karen Anderson started their education by pursuing a Bachelor's degree in Early Childhood Education and Teaching from Cedarville University. Karen attended the university from 2002 to 2006. After completing their Bachelor's degree, they furthered their education by pursuing a Master's degree in Curriculum and Instruction from Indiana Wesleyan University. Karen attended Indiana Wesleyan University from 2010 to 2012.
