Shirley Ailsworth

Shirley Ailsworth, M.A., LMFT, is a seasoned behavioral health professional with extensive experience in clinical management and crisis intervention. Currently serving as a Senior Behavioral Health Clinician at the City and County of San Francisco since December 2018, Shirley manages a team of five, oversees department operations, and ensures compliance with policies while facilitating efficient clinical workflows. Previous roles include providing emergency psychiatric evaluations and crisis support across San Francisco, as well as serving as a Mental Health Specialist with Westside Community Services, where Shirley supervised staff and enrolled program participants. With a solid foundation in psychotherapy and case management from various organizations, including Crisis Support Services of Alameda County and Berkeley Christian Counselors, Shirley possesses a Master’s degree in Counseling Psychology from The Wright Institute and a Bachelor's degree in Management from Saint Mary's College of California.
