Dave Skerl

Dave Skerl has a wealth of experience in the restaurant industry, starting as an Assistant General Manager at The 94th Aero Squadron in 1998. Dave then became a General Manager at The 94th Bomb Group in 2000 before moving on to Buffalo Wild Wings, where they worked as a General Manager and later as a Regional Manager from 2000 to 2017. In 2016, Skerl joined City Barbeque where they held various positions including Assistant General Manager, General Manager, Training General Manager, Market Leader, and is currently serving as the Director of Strategic Implementation since September 2022.

Dave Skerl obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Criminology from The Ohio State University, where they studied from 1994 to 1998. Prior to attending university, Dave Skerl completed their high school education at Holy Name High School from 1990 to 1994. In addition to their formal education, Dave Skerl has obtained several certifications on topics such as developing self-awareness, discovering strengths, communicating with empathy, developing emotional intelligence, leading with emotional intelligence, skip-level meetings, effective management techniques, change management, focus improvement, new manager foundations, balancing multiple roles as a leader, conducting productive one-on-one meetings, managing Generation Z, setting business unit goals, successfully managing conflict, and building customer loyalty. These certifications were obtained on various dates, with the most recent obtained in October 2020.
