Cynthia Salgado

Cynthia Salgado possesses a diverse background in documentation, policy analysis, and media engagement, currently serving as a Documenter for City Bureau since January 2023, where responsibilities include documenting public governance meetings and civic events. Previous experience includes a Policy Manager role at the Illinois General Assembly and a Reporter position with NPR’s Next Generation Radio, contributing to multimedia projects reflecting local experiences. Cynthia has also held various roles such as Teaching Assistant at The Cedar Rapids Day School, Congressional Intern for the U.S. House of Representatives, Op-Ed Writer for South Side Weekly, and Radio Show Host at Yollocalli Arts Reach, showcasing a strong commitment to storytelling and public service. Cynthia earned a Bachelor's degree in Communication Studies and Spanish from Coe College in May 2022.
