Jonathan Byrd

Jonathan Byrd has a diverse work experience, starting in 1990 as an Investment Executive with 3i Group plc. Jonathan then held roles as a Commercial Director at Hays PLC, a Business Development Director at B.Braun, and a Managing Director at BES Consulting Ltd.

In 2010, they joined Nuffield Health, where they served as the Managing Director for HSSU, Director of Clinical Services, and Group Commercial Director. During their time at Nuffield Health, they led the sales and commercial teams for revenue streams in Hospitals, Clinical Services, and Fitness.

In 2018, Jonathan joined Ramsay Sime Darby Health Care as a Business Transformation Consultant and later became a Hospital CEO and Turnaround Specialist. Jonathan successfully transformed an underperforming hospital in the Maldives into the most successful private hospital in the country.

In 2019, they joined Ramsay Health Care UK as a Project Director and later became the Hospital Director. Jonathan led and managed a groundbreaking joint venture with another hospital provider, completing the partnership in October 2020.

Currently, Jonathan works as the Group Director of the Complex Care Division at City & County Healthcare Group, starting in 2021.

Jonathan Byrd attended the Harvard Business School in 2018, where they participated in the Value Measurement for Health Care Executive Programme. Prior to this, between 1987 and 1990, they obtained a Bachelor of Science degree in Economics and Economic History from the University of Bristol.
