Jim Maxwell

Jim Maxwell is an experienced legal and compliance professional currently serving as General Manager of Legal, Risk & Compliance at Melbourne City FC since January 2023. Previously, Jim held the position of Director of Legal - STEM at the University of Melbourne from April 2020 to January 2023, where leadership focused on transforming Legal & Risk into a proactive business partner supporting university operations. Jim's extensive background includes roles as General Counsel and Chief Legal & Regulatory Officer at Ooredoo Oman, Corporate Counsel at Optus, Senior Associate at MinterEllison, and Legal Counsel at Vodafone. Jim began a career in law at Hall & Wilcox, following studies in Law at the University of Melbourne and various executive education programs, including those at IMD and Cranfield University.
