Chris Barbic

Chris Barbic is a seasoned education leader with extensive experience in various roles within educational organizations. Currently serving as a Partner at The City Fund since June 2018, Chris previously held the position of Senior Education Fellow at the Laura and John Arnold Foundation from August 2016 to June 2018. From August 2011 to January 2016, Chris was the Superintendent of the Achievement School District, and earlier, Chris founded and served as CEO of YES Prep Public Schools from July 1998 to July 2011. Chris holds a Bachelor's degree in English Language and Literature as well as Human and Organizational Development from Vanderbilt University, earned between 1988 and 1992.
