Geert-Jan Van der Wielen is an experienced professional with a strong background in supply chain management and logistics. Currently serving as a Mede-eigenaar at City Hub and Manager Inland Towage at KOTUG International, Geert-Jan focuses on electric towage solutions and urban revitalization. As the founding father and MD of CityBarge, Geert-Jan aims to transform urban waterways with innovative barge concepts. With a history of strategic advisory roles at Hamburg Süd and APM Terminals, Geert-Jan successfully led initiatives that optimized operations and established commercially viable strategies. Geert-Jan's earlier positions include leadership roles at Vopak Logistic Services and ICL Group, showcasing expertise in turnaround management, business development, and cost reduction strategies. Geert-Jan holds a Master's degree in Business Administration and Management from Nyenrode Business University and a Master's degree in Mechanical Engineering from Eindhoven University of Technology.
