Christopher Thompson is a seasoned professional in Geographic Information Systems (GIS) with extensive experience in data management and analysis. Currently serving as a Data Program and System Analyst for the City of Albuquerque since February 2023, Thompson coordinates GIS applications and data for CABQ Fire Rescue and the ADAPT program. Previously, Thompson led the GIS Group at SWCA Environmental Consultants and managed crisis applications and communications technology at the Virginia Department of Emergency Management, overseeing key programs. Additional roles include Senior GIS Analyst positions at Logan Simpson Design and Senior Spatial Analyst at Archaeological Consulting Services, as well as significant experience as an archaeologist and GIS coordinator in national forests. Thompson holds a B.A. in Anthropology from the University of Oregon, completed between 1983 and 1985.
