Notable academic contributions include work as a Capstone Moderator at the University of Michigan, evaluating the Detroit Land Bank Authority's programs. Additional roles span from managing editorial projects at Agora to conducting research for various organizations, including the City of Sydney and Destination Analysts, Inc. Michelle holds a Master of Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a BA in Urban Studies and Planning, Economics from UC San Diego.
