Miekyn Cotton, P.E. currently serves as the Stormwater and Water Resources Regulatory Coordinator for the City of Ann Arbor since December 2023. Prior to this role, Miekyn worked as an Environmental Engineer with the Michigan Department of Environment, Great Lakes, and Energy from July 2019 to December 2023. Additional experience includes positions at the University of Michigan Functional MRI Laboratory as an Office Assistant from September 2016 to June 2018, and an internship at the US Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) with the Light Duty Vehicles and Small Engine Center in summer 2017. Miekyn also contributed as the Safety and Facilities Lead for the Michigan Bioastronautics and Life Support Systems team during fall 2016, which focused on deep-space habitat prototype research. Earlier experience includes serving as Lead Teacher for Ceramics, Arts, and Crafts at the Alumni Association of the University of Michigan from May 2015 to September 2016. Miekyn holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Michigan, attained in 2018.
