Ali Sajjad Taj

Ali Sajjad Taj is a seasoned leader with extensive experience in public service and financial consulting. Currently serving as Immediate Past President and previously as First Vice President of the League of California Cities, Ali has been the Mayor and a City Council Member for the City of Artesia since November 2013. In addition, Ali holds the position of Chairman at Eco-Rapid Transit and serves as Vice President of the California Contract Cities Association. Ali's financial expertise includes roles as an Advisor at Angel Investments, Financial Consultant at TD, Managing Principal at Waddell & Reed, and Field Vice President at Ameriprise Financial Services, Inc. Educational credentials include a Bachelor of Arts in Economics, Political Science, and Statistics from the University of the Punjab, Lahore, and a Master's degree in Public Administration from the University of the Pacific.
