Emily Provance currently serves as the Director of Human Resources for the City of Asheville, a position held since September 2024. Prior to this role, Emily was the Director of Human Resources at Malone University from June 2023 to September 2024 and Human Resource Director at Stark County Mental Health & Addiction Recovery from August 2013 to June 2023. During part of 2014, Emily also worked as a Grant Consultant for Malone University. Earlier in their career, Emily served as the Community Resource Coordinator for Sandy Valley Local Schools from July 1997 to August 2013. Emily holds a Bachelor of Arts in Business/Corporate Communications from Marietta College and two Master of Public Administration degrees from The University of Akron, completed in 2014 and 2017.
