Julie Womble, M.A. has a diverse work experience spanning various roles and companies. Julie is currently serving as the Community Development Director at the City of Auburndale since June 2021. Prior to this, Julie worked at Polk County BoCC, where they held positions such as Planner III from June 2019 to June 2021, Planner II from May 2018 to June 2019, and Community Development Coordinator from February 2016 to May 2018. Before joining Polk County BoCC, they worked as a Business Services Consultant at CareerSource Polk from 2014 to 2016. Julie also has experience as a Community Recovery Coordinator at the American Red Cross from 2007 to 2011, as an Intensive Case Manager at the Peace River Center for Personal Development from 2005 to 2006, and as a Community/ PR Assistant at The Salvation Army from 2004 to 2005.
Julie Womble, M.A. obtained their Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Psychology from Southeastern University in 2002. Julie then went on to complete a Master of Arts (M.A.) degree in Christian Ministries/Leadership from Assemblies of God Theological Seminary in 2014. In 2018, they pursued further education and earned a Masters of Arts degree in City/Urban, Community and Regional Planning from the University of Florida. Additionally, in 2019, they completed the Emerging Leaders Program through the Polk County Board of County Commissioners.
