John Curley has over 30 years of experience in the field of architecture. John has a diverse work history, starting as a Project Architect/Intern at PSA/Dewberry from 1989 to 1994. John then worked as a Project Architect at Healy, Bender & Associates, Inc. from 1994 to 1995, and at PHN Architects from 1995 to 1996. John also worked as a Project Architect/Project Manager at Ream Hauser Architects from 1996 to 1999.

In 2001, John joined the City of Aurora, where they held multiple roles over the years. John started as the Director of Building & Permits from 2001 to 2005. John was then promoted to Assistant Director of the Community Development Department from 2005 to 2009, where they were responsible for eight divisions and managed a budget of $5.7 million.
