Celeste Amato

Celeste Amato currently serves as the Chief of Staff for the Office of Comptroller Bill Henry in the City of Baltimore, a position held since December 2020. Prior to this role, Amato was President of the Maryland Philanthropy Network from December 2012 to December 2020, focusing on maximizing the impact of philanthropy across a network of over 120 organizations. Earlier experiences include consulting in public affairs and communications, managing media relations and community outreach for Baltimore City Public Works, and directing the Initiative for a Cleaner Greener Baltimore. Amato began a career in business and economic development at the Baltimore Development Corporation, where responsibilities included business retention and targeted marketing strategies. Amato holds a Bachelor of Arts in English from Loyola University in Maryland.
