Anne Krieg

Anne Krieg has extensive experience in community and economic development, planning, and facilitation. Anne is currently working as the Director of Community & Economic Development at the City of Bangor, Maine, where they have been employed since 2019. Prior to this role, Anne worked as a Planning Officer for the same city from 2019 to 2023. Anne also served as the CEO/President of AK Planning & Facilitation from 2018 to 2019 and as a Regional Planner for HANCOCK COUNTY PLANNING COMMISSION in 2018. From 2017 to 2018, Anne was the Executive Director of the MID-COAST REGIONAL PLANNING COMMISSION. Anne was a Board Member for the Maine Association of Planners from 2004 to 2019 and the Maine Community Development Association from 2014 to 2017. Additionally, Anne held leadership roles such as First Vice President at the Greater Portland Council of Governments from 2016 to 2017 and President of Bar Harbor (MDI) Rotary Club from 2011 to 2012. Anne also worked as a Director of Planning, Economic & Community Development for the Town of Bridgton, Maine, from 2012 to 2017, where they led various projects related to downtown development, infrastructure expansion, and community engagement. Anne has also worked as an Independent Contractor/Consultant for a4 Architects in 2011.

Anne Krieg began their education by attending Bishop Grimes High School from 1978 to 1982. After completing high school, they pursued a pre-SUNY-ESF program at Onondaga Community College from 1982 to 1984. Anne then enrolled at the State University of New York College of Environmental Science and Forestry (SUNY-ESF) and obtained their Bachelor of Science degree in Environmental Studies from 1982 to 1986.
