Jake Smith, CPHIMS, MCSA, currently serves as an At Large Commissioner for the City of Battle Creek, Michigan, and has extensive experience in various analytical and operational roles, including Business Analyst and Senior Operations Specialist at Southwest Michigan Behavioral Health since March 2014. Smith has been actively involved in local governance as a County Commissioner for Calhoun County from January 2017 to December 2022 and has held multiple committee chair positions, focusing on Information Technology, Local Jail Population Management, and Legislative Liaison. Smith’s educational background includes a Master of Business Administration from the University of Dayton, a participation in the Michigan Political Leadership Program at Michigan State University, and a Bachelor of Arts in Political Science and Government from Western Michigan University.
