Reuben Simmons Jr.

Reuben Simmons Jr. is an experienced professional with a diverse background in community service and leadership. Currently serving as a Respite Worker at Cove Care Center since March 2022, Reuben is also the President and Founder of I AM BEACON INC, an organization dedicated to inspiring individuals to contribute positively to their community. With a long-standing role at the City of Beacon, Reuben has held various positions, including Maintenance Worker, Working Supervisor, Highway Superintendent, Laborer, and Summer Help, demonstrating extensive skills in maintenance, management, and budget oversight. Additionally, Reuben served as Union President for CSEA Local 1000, advocating for employee rights and engagement in regional and statewide initiatives. Reuben holds a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology from The Catholic University of America and an Associate of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Dutchess Community College.
