Steven Mehlman

Steven Mehlman, APR, possesses extensive experience in communications and public relations, having served in various roles across different organizations. As the former City Clerk for the City of Beaumont, CA, from January 2019 to the present, and currently a Communications Consultant since February 2013, Mehlman provides strategic communications counsel, engages in writing projects, and manages media relations. Previous positions include Communications Director for UDW Homecare Providers Union, where representation was provided for over 65,000 homecare workers, and Communications Director for the California State Employees Association. Other notable roles include Director of Communications for the Financial Planning Association and Manager of Consumer Programs for AARP. Steven Mehlman holds a BA in Public Relations/Journalism from American University and is a member of the National Advocacy Advisory Board for PRSA from 2007 to 2009.
