Jordan Klein

Jordan Klein has extensive experience in urban planning and economic development, currently serving as the Director of the Department of Planning & Development for the City of Berkeley since June 2014. Previously, Jordan held various roles within the City and County of San Francisco, including Senior Project Manager and Neighborhood Economic Development Planner. Additional experience includes positions as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of California, Berkeley, and multiple roles at the United Way of the Bay Area, culminating in the directorship of Crisis Preparedness Response & Recovery Activities. Jordan earned a Master of City Planning from the University of California, Berkeley, and a Bachelor of Arts in History from Northwestern University.
