Sarah Miller Moore is an experienced sustainability professional with a robust background in urban planning and environmental research. Currently serving as Sustainability Program Manager for the City of Berkeley since February 2011, Sarah has developed best practices to enhance energy efficiency in multifamily housing across Berkeley, Oakland, and Emeryville. Prior roles include Research Fellow at the Berkeley Institute of the Environment, Research and Resource Specialist at the Green Building Alliance, and Urban Planner at Environmental Planning and Design. Additional experience encompasses consultations and environmental research across various organizations, including the USDA Forest Service and the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency, where significant contributions were made to air quality regulations. Sarah holds a Master of Urban and Regional Planning from the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign and a Bachelor of Arts in Chemistry from Carleton College.
