Leah Blizinski

Leah Blizinski is a knowledgeable professional in urban planning and community service, currently serving as a City Planner for the City of Birmingham, Michigan since December 2021. Previous experience includes working as a Planning Assistant for Huron-Clinton Metroparks and holding positions in community support and housing management, notably as a Senior Intake Program Specialist at Southwest Solutions, where operational oversight for HUD processes was provided. Leah also served as a Permanent Supportive Housing Case Manager at South Oakland Shelter, delivering intensive case management, and gained experience in client support at Preble Street and Amistad Inc. Additionally, media engagement was undertaken at WMPG and WERU. Leah holds a Master of Urban Planning degree with a focus on Urban Economic Development from Wayne State University and a BA in Film and Video Studies from the University of Michigan.
