Kelly Hewitt

Kelly Hewitt serves as a City Planner for the City of North Charleston since August 2023, bringing a diverse background in community engagement and urban planning. Previously, Kelly held the position of Community Outreach Coordinator at the Preservation Society of Charleston from August 2021 to May 2023, and gained valuable experience as a Crew Member at Trader Joe's, where responsibilities included training new staff and providing customer education. Additional roles include Graduate Assistant positions at the College of Charleston, where Kelly contributed to video production and professional development initiatives, and as a Local Government Intern with the Town of Mount Pleasant, where research and policy development were key responsibilities. With a Master of Public Administration from the College of Charleston and a Bachelor's Degree in Experimental Psychology from the University of South Carolina-Columbia, Kelly possesses strong analytical and communication skills that enhance community planning and outreach efforts.
