Greg Chesser has extensive work experience in the field of fire and safety. Greg began their career in 1985 as a Military Fire Fighter in the United States Air Force, where they served until 2005. During their time in the Air Force, they held various leadership positions, including Assistant Fire Chief Training and Assistant Fire Chief Fire Prevention.
In 2007, Chesser transitioned to the role of Assistant Fire Chief Fire Prevention at the United States Air Force, where they managed the installation fire prevention program and provided technical assistance on fire prevention and building design criteria.
In 2014, Chesser was promoted to the position of Assistant Fire Chief Operations at the United States Air Force, where they oversaw fire department operations and commanded large emergency operations. Greg held this role until their retirement as Fire Chief in 2019.
After retiring from the Air Force, Chesser worked as a Contractor-Annual Compliance Report Reviewer for the Center for Public Safety Excellence in 2015. In 2016, they became the Fire Chief at F. E. Warren AFB Fire Emergency Services, where they managed the fire department and protected military assets in three states.
Chesser also served as the Safety and Occupational Health Specialist at the Bureau of Reclamation in 2020 before joining the City of Boulder City as the Deputy Fire Chief in the same year.
Additionally, Chesser has been involved with Laramie County Community College since 2008 as an Adjunct Faculty Member, teaching fire science courses and contributing to curriculum development.
