Travis Haines

Travis Haines has extensive experience in parks and recreation management, currently serving as the Director of Parks & Recreation for the City of Brighton since June 2015, after holding roles as Interim Director and Assistant Director of Parks and Open Space. Prior to this, Travis was the Parks Department Superintendent for the City of Hays, KS, from January 2009 to June 2015, and previously worked as a Realtor for Coldwell Banker and as the Fitness/Wellness Director at Community Healthcare Systems. Earlier career highlights include serving as Wellness Supervisor and Head Personal Trainer at Hays Medical Center. Travis holds a Master's degree in Sports Administration/Exercise Physiology from Fort Hays State University and a Certified Public Manager certification from The University of Kansas, along with a Bachelor’s degree in Health and Physical Education/Fitness from Fort Hays State University.
