Fred Ramirez has extensive experience in community development and urban planning, currently serving as the Assistant Community Development Director of Planning for the City of Burbank since March 2017. Prior to this role, Fred held various positions at the City of San Fernando from October 2002 to February 2017, culminating in the role of Community Development Director, where responsibilities included policy development, program planning, and budget management for the Community Development Department. Fred's career in planning began with work as a Planning Intern at the City of Sierra Madre and progressed through roles such as Associate Planner, Senior Planner, and City Planner, focusing on land use, development entitlements, and strategic planning. Fred holds a Bachelor of Science in Urban and Regional Planning from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona and a Master's in Public Administration from California State University, Northridge.
