City Attorney at City of Burien

G N. serves as the City Attorney for the City of Burien since March 2020, bringing extensive experience in municipal, labor, education, contracts, tax, and land use law, as well as litigation. Prior to this role, G N. was the Assistant Corporation Counsel for the Town of West Hartford from August 2016 to March 2020. G N. has held various legal positions including Judge Pro Tempore at King County District Court from 2013 to 2016, Senior Assistant City Attorney and Chief Prosecuting Attorney at the Office of the Renton City Attorney from 2005 to 2015, and Member of the King County Ethics Board from 2012 to 2013. Additional experience includes serving as Executive Legal Counsel for the New York City Transit Authority from 1999 to 2005, and Assistant Prosecuting Attorney at both the Bronx District Attorney's Office from 1992 to 1999 and the Office of the New York City Special Narcotics Prosecutor from 1997 to 1998. G N. obtained a JD from The George Washington University Law School and a BA in Political Science from Morehouse College.
