Charmaigne Pflugrath has extensive experience in emergency management, currently serving as the Emergency Management Coordinator for the City of Burnaby since October 2008. Charmaigne has been a Board Member of the BC Association of Emergency Managers since November 2020, contributing to the representation of professionals in the Emergency Management and Business Continuity community. Additionally, Charmaigne served as a Board Member for the British Columbia Earthquake Alliance Society from September 2014 to December 2020, overseeing the annual Great British Columbia ShakeOut earthquake drill. Prior to these roles, Charmaigne worked in Treasury Services at the City of Burnaby from 1992 to 2008. Educational credentials include an Associate Business Continuity Professional designation from the Disaster Recovery Institute International, as well as degrees in Emergency Management, Accounting and Finance from various institutions, and a certification in Travel Agent services from Okanagan College.
