Ross Plattel

Ross Plattel is an experienced IT Project Manager at the City of Calgary since August 2023, with a diverse background in urban planning and technology support. Currently serving as Vice Chairman of the Board and Urban Planning Specialist for the PLACE Initiative, Ross focuses on the intersection of place, climate change, and equity. Ross also holds roles as Organizational Development Manager for CivicTechYYC, Project Administrator and Accessibility Lead for IncluCity Calgary, and Planning Specialist for Alberta Regional Rail Inc. Since 2020, Ross has contributed to various organizations such as the Pacific Jubilee Program and Covenant House Vancouver, facilitating remote learning and technology support. Ross's academic qualifications include a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Studies and a Bachelor's degree in Project Management from the University of Calgary and WCG Services/LevelUp, respectively.
