Eric Vail

Eric Vail is a seasoned attorney with extensive experience in municipal and public law. As a Partner and Chair of the Public Law Practice Group at Burke, Williams & Sorsensen, LLP since June 2001, Eric leads a team of legal professionals while serving as the contract City Attorney for Cathedral City and Rialto. Eric also holds the position of City Attorney for Cathedral City, offering comprehensive legal services since December 2015, and has served as General Counsel for the SunLine Transit Agency until May 2024. Previous roles include City Attorney for the City of Hemet and Temple City, where Eric provided legal counsel to city councils and dealt with complex legal issues facing municipalities. Eric holds a Juris Doctor degree from the University of the Pacific - McGeorge School of Law and a Bachelor of Arts degree from California State Polytechnic University-Pomona.
