Alex Abramowitz has extensive experience in urban planning and demolition management, currently serving as the Demolition Bureau Manager at City of Cleveland - City Hall since June 2021, after holding positions as Interim Manager and Demolition Compliance Officer. Prior experiences include working as a Data and Reporting Analyst at The Legal Aid Society of Cleveland and as a Planning and Procurement Specialist for the City of Detroit, where responsibilities involved engaging stakeholders and managing significant demolition contracts. Alex also contributed as a Graduate Student Instructor at the University of Michigan, leading discussions on urban planning topics, and has held various roles focusing on civic engagement and policy research, including positions at NextGen Climate and The White House. Alex holds a Master’s degree in Urban Planning from the University of Michigan and a Bachelor’s degree in Economics and Politics from Oberlin College.
