Mike Thomas

Mike Thomas has a diverse work experience spanning over several decades. Mike currently serves as the Director of Communications and Public Engagement for the City of Cleveland Heights. Prior to this, they were a Principal and Senior Consultant at Mike Thomas and Associates, where they provided strategic communications services to various organizations. During this time, they also worked as a ghostwriter for Senator Michael Bennet's book and served as a message strategist and campaign architect for Judge Michael Donnelly's successful election to the Ohio Supreme Court.

Before their time at Mike Thomas and Associates, Mike Thomas served as the Executive Director of The Citizens League of Greater Cleveland and The Citizens League Research Institute. Mike also held the position of Executive Director (Interim) at CAMPUS DISTRICT INC, where they drafted a turnaround plan and conducted a search for a permanent Executive Director.

Earlier in their career, Mike Thomas worked as the Executive Vice President of Downtown Cleveland Alliance, where they led and managed programs marketing downtown Cleveland and organized various events. Mike also served as the Director of Development at LAND studio, Inc.

In addition, Mike Thomas has worked as a political consultant and campaign manager for various political and public affairs campaigns. Mike was also a Founding Student Partner at First Miami Student and Alumni Federal Credit Union.

Mike Thomas has a Bachelor of Arts degree from Miami University, where they studied Physics, Philosophy, and Political Science. Mike also holds a certification in Public Relations, specifically the Accredited in Public Relations (APR) certification, which they obtained from the Public Relations Society of America (PRSA) in 2002.
