Clive has almost 20,000 residents and is located at the crossroads of two interstate highways (35 & 80). The City is currently developing 1,000 acres for residential and commercial projects and is in the process of annexing additional areas for future developments.

Clive utilizes a Council-Manager form of government, with the five Councilmembers and Mayor establishing short and long term policies, and the Manager leading staff to execute those policies.  Each year the Council establishes strategic priorities and a budget that aligns with the City’s vision and values.
