Tim Myers has a diverse work experience that spans over different organizations and roles. Tim began their career as a Patrol Officer for the City of Columbus ~ Division of Police in 2008, where they investigated felony cases and played a role in impaired driving enforcement. Over the years, Tim has progressed within the organization, holding positions such as Police Sergeant, Police Lieutenant, and eventually becoming the Training Bureau Commander, responsible for overseeing the training and professional development of new and existing police officers.
In addition to their work at the City of Columbus ~ Division of Police, Tim also served in the United States Army Reserve. Tim fulfilled various roles, including Chief of Legal Assistance, Trial Counsel, and Defense Counsel. Tim provided legal advice and support to commanders and soldiers, and represented soldiers in military criminal and administrative matters.
Before joining the police force, Tim worked as a Site Supervisor for Community Crime Patrol, Inc., a non-profit community organization. In this role, they trained and supervised a team while actively engaging with community members on crime prevention initiatives.

Tim Myers completed their education at Capital University Law School from 2012 to 2016, earning a Doctor of Law (J.D.) degree. Before that, they attended The Ohio State University from 2004 to 2008, where they obtained a Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) degree in Social and Behavioral Sciences. In addition to their formal education, Tim has also obtained certifications in various fields. Tim became an Ohio Peace Officer Basic Training Unit Instructor in August 2014 through the Ohio Peace Officer Training Commission. In March 2010, they obtained the BAC Datamaster Senior Operator certification from the Ohio Department of Health.
