Carlton Thompson is a seasoned civil engineer with extensive experience in urban engineering and project management. Currently serving as the City Engineer for the City of Concord since October 2022, Carlton previously held the position of Assistant City Engineer for the City of Antioch. Prior to that, a long tenure at the City of Walnut Creek included roles from Sr. Civil Engineer overseeing capital projects to Associate and Assistant Engineer, focusing on public works and development projects. Additionally, Carlton's military experience includes serving as Deputy Maintenance Group Commander in the US Air Force Reserve. Carlton holds a BS in Civil Engineering from California Polytechnic State University-San Luis Obispo and is equipped with a solid foundation from American River College.
