Sara Samani

Senior Aquatic Leader/swimming Instructor

Sara Samani is a Clinical Counselor (Qualifying) at Wellness North Counselling since January 2024, specializing in supporting individuals through diverse mental health challenges using Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Emotional Focused Therapy (EFT). With extensive experience in aquatic leadership, Sara has served as a Senior Aquatic Leader and Swimming Instructor at the City of Coquitlam since September 2014, focusing on water safety and team supervision. Previous roles include Behavioural Interventionist for autistic children at Family Centered Practices Group and Senior Research Assistant at the Motivated Cognition Lab at the University of British Columbia. Additionally, Sara coordinated fundraising events for the Children's Wish Foundation, successfully raising funds for children with life-threatening illnesses. Educationally, Sara holds a Bachelor of Arts in Psychology from the University of British Columbia and is pursuing a Master of Arts in Clinical Psychology at Yorkville University.
