Brenton Copeland has a diverse work experience spanning various roles in the technology field. Brenton began their career in 2003 with the United States Marine Corps as an Aviation Information Systems Specialist, where they provided support for Marine Aviation Logistics Squadron 41. In 2011, they joined the University of North Texas as an IT Specialist I, responsible for maintaining various systems and providing Tier I support. Brenton later advanced to the role of IT Specialist III, managing multiple Windows servers and acting as the IT liaison for the Dining Services department. Since 2015, Brenton has been working for the City of Corinth, starting as the Technology Services Assistant Manager and later progressing to the role of Technology Services Manager. Currently, they hold the position of Chief Technology Officer.
Brenton Copeland completed the National Certified Government Chief Information Officer Program (CGCIO) at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill from 2021 to 2022. Prior to that, they earned a Bachelor of Science (B.S.) degree in Criminal Justice from Texas State University in 2007.
