Wendell Mitchell serves as the Chief of Police for the City of Corinth since November 2024, following a distinguished career with the Town of Flower Mound where roles included Assistant Chief of Police (April 2011 - November 2024) and Police Captain and Lieutenant (2002 - 2011). Responsibilities at the Town of Flower Mound encompassed overseeing the Professional Standards Section, which included Internal Affairs, Crime Prevention, Training, Personnel and Recruitment, and the Volunteer Program. Wendell Mitchell holds a Master of Science in Criminal Justice/Law Enforcement Administration from Sam Houston State University (2009 - 2011) and a Bachelor's degree in Criminal Justice and Corrections from Midwestern State University (2003 - 2005). Additional training includes attendance at the Federal Bureau of Investigation National Academy (2007) and the Law Enforcement Management Institute of Texas (2003 - 2004).
