Shanika Mayo, MPA, BS, currently serves as the Assistant Director of Aviation - Finance & People Management for the City of Dallas since August 2025. Prior to this role, Shanika Mayo held multiple positions within the City of Denton from June 2018 to July 2025, including Assistant Director - Police Finance & Administration and Administration Manager - Police. Shanika Mayo’s career at the City of Dallas began in 2008, where responsibilities included Planning & Research Manager, Interim Program Manager, Budget and Grants Analyst, and Assistant to the Assistant City Manager. Shanika Mayo earned a Master of Public Administration from the University of North Texas and a Bachelor of Science in Criminal Justice from Texas Christian University.
