Willie G. Franklin Jr.

Willie G. Franklin Jr. has extensive experience in urban planning and development, currently serving as the Assistant Director and Chief Planner for the City of Dallas since January 2017. Prior roles include Senior Development Project Coordinator and Development Project Coordinator, focusing on project management and stakeholder engagement to enhance development processes. Prior to joining the City of Dallas, Franklin worked as a Residential Appraiser II at the Dallas Central Appraisal District, where responsibilities included property value assessment and collaboration with various stakeholders. Franklin began their career as a Housing Manager at City House, Inc. and holds a Master of Science in Community Development and Urban Planning and a Bachelor of Arts in Mass Communications from Prairie View A&M University.
