Laura most recently served as the Division Director of Customer Accounts at the City of Danville, Virginia, where they managed customer service, billing, and collection processes for various utilities and taxes. Prior to that, Laura worked as a Commercial Sales Assistant at BB&T, where they provided sales support and assisted in the loan origination process. Laura also held the position of Vice President of Lending at Piedmont Credit Union, overseeing lending operations and ensuring compliance with the credit union's policies. Earlier in their career, Laura worked as a Loan Officer II at Farm Credit of the Virginias, ACA and as a Financial Center Leader at BB&T. Laura began their professional journey as a Manager Trainee at Enterprise Rent-A-Car. With their extensive background in finance, customer service, and leadership, Laura brings a diverse skill set to any organization they join.
Laura Blackwell earned their Bachelor's degree in Management Science from Averett University, which they attended from 1997 to 2000. Later, they pursued a Master of Business Administration (M.B.A.) from the same university, completing their studies from 2004 to 2006.
